Hi guys,

So, has been really silent here the last couple of months!
The reason for this is very simple: I’m traveling trough New-Zealand, Australia and South-East Asia. Follow our travel blog (only in dutch) HERE.
Therefore there’s nothing much happening professionally.

Big news though! My School Is Cool music video was nominated for a MIA, the Belgian Music Industry Awards.
Only four music videos selected so basically this means my video was one of the four best Belgian videos of the year 2011.
Quite nice huh? Especially since the competitors were big names like Gotye, Milow and Das Pop.
Gotye was the well deserved winner but, aren’t we all winners:)

And! The School Is Cool video was also selected for a JIMMIE , the awards of Belgian music channel JIM TV. (category: Best Music Video National)
Unforunately Milow’s video won, but of course I’m happy with the recognition!

Also Preacher got selected for the Insight Film Festival 2011 and the School Is Cool video for the Short Film Festival Leuven (music video competition).

I’m all back & available in Europe summer 2012. All refreshed and inspired! And with a nice tan.

WINNER Tabor Film Festival 2011

Hooray!
My short film ‘Preacher‘ won the Best Fiction Film Award at the Tabor Film Festival 2011.
I couldn’t be at the festival in Croatia, so they send me the award by superforce airmail.

The NUC is represented…

So so, Since 2011 I’m represented by production company Denzzo for commercials and stuff.

For music videos and the more corporate stuff I founded my own small production office with a good friend: The Filmkabinet. (website only in Dutch for now…)

On both sites you’ll find me under my other name which is mr Daan Van Baelen. All very official, but since I turned black I would like you to call me Mr. Nuc (the).
